Coming to your home after a new baby arrives for a newborn lifestyle photo session makes everyone’s life easier. No rushing out the door with a days-old newborn, driving to a studio where you will be for hours on end, just to realize…you forgot to bring enough (enter everything you forgot here).
No more sitting in stiff chairs as you wait for baby to calm down and stop crying in order to take more photos. Nope. When you’re in your own home, you can curl up on your own bed or couch and we can get baby’s belly nice and warm and full of delicious milk with no stress.
Meeting you in your home sounds much better, right?! With me in your home, you’ll receive images like the one above where you will realize just how small your new baby was on your bed inside your home. In fact, I have done this exact shot for this family, on the same bed, for all three of this family’s newborns. How special is that?!
Yes, you may not get the super cute, but super posed images of babies bundled up in baskets or props. Mad props to those photographers for their patience and talent (pun intended :-). Instead, you’ll enjoy the memories of you and your new baby in rooms of your home that you will look back on in years and remember all the memories of you with them on that “old” rocking chair, or cuddling with them in the sunny window of your kitchen like you did for so many early mornings.
This sweet family has invited me into their lovely home three times for all of their sweet babies. The honor and privilege to do so makes my heart swell and makes me realize just how special my job is. Not much can beat that.
