Best of 2020: Weddings

Engagements

January 18, 2021

2020 was a terrible year for the wedding industry, but that didn’t stop some brides and grooms from having incredible weddings. In fact, because of the pandemic, the industry discovered something very enlightening. Smaller, more intimate weddings created amazing weddings! I have to admit, it was one of my most favorite wedding seasons yet!

Smaller guest counts allowed for brides and grooms to be able to talk to all of their loved ones, and created an atmosphere of intimacy that large weddings don’t readily allow. I was able to witness moments between couples and their guests that were so beautiful and meaningful this past year, and I have a sneaky suspicion that smaller-more intimate weddings will now be all the rage in 2021 and beyond.

My heart goes out to my brides and grooms last year and even this year, but I do want to remind them that love doesn’t get postponed, cancelled, or reduced. Your wedding day is more than a guest count or large celebration. It’s about vowing your love no matter what. About going through this life through thick or thin. If you want my advice, get married any way you can—you won’t regret it!
