When you get a shoot like this, you wake up the next morning almost in awe that it even happened. It was a beautiful spring day when I drove up to the Graybill’s home. Although windy, the sun was pouring down its warmth as I walked up the steps of their turn of the century home. I gently knocked on the door and heard the clickity-clack of tiny paws on the original wood floors as I waited for the door to be opened.
Marisa and Raphael’s first baby, Buffalo, met me with lots of convincing barks that eventually turned into snuggles and sniffs. I am a dog person. Plain and simple. When I plan with my clients weeks ahead of time through emails and inquiries, I secretly hope that a pup will be present. Buffalo did not disappoint. And yes, he expected a back rub while baby filled her tummy. No problem, Buffalo…I’ve got you.
Now, to be honest, I could have spent hours with Genevieve and her doting parents. We actually had the shoot on her expected due date. Every aspect of this shoot was perfection. From their beautiful and historic home, to the sweetest little baby girl, I couldn’t have asked for more.
Congratulations you two! She is absolutely perfect! Enjoy every moment. These times may be tiring, yet oh so fleeting. It is my hope that these images will remind you of the beautiful journey you are starting to embarking on. It will be the most remarkable journey you will ever experience.
