Miss “N” was seven days new the day I met her. Her little eyes took in every little detail of the new world around her. Quiet as a mouse I never heard her cry, but by the time I left her home I felt like I had gained new friends and my heart was full for this young family.
Liz contacted me the day she was due to inquire about my lifestyle newborn photography. I called her back with no answer, and I hoped (for her sake) that she was in the hospital giving birth and naturally…was too busy to answer. Nope. Little miss decided to bake a few more days and entered the world a week before I arrived at her home on a sunny fall day. I think we’d all agree she was worth the wait!
Her big brother and I got to hang out and be goofy in front of the camera and he talked my ear off about how he plans to be taller than his daddy. Good plan, my man. Having a son that was born 10 days after him (who also has a new baby sibling), I knew how much love and silliness I needed to shower on him. We giggled and sat on the floor while baby fed, and I was so impressed by this new big brother. He was such a trooper and was brave enough to come behind the lens and take a few pictures of his new baby sister using my camera. Photographer in the making? I hope so!
Liz and Nathan, thank you so much for inviting me into your home to capture your sweet family. I’m so glad our paths crossed, and I hope they do many more times! Congrats guys on the newest and tiniest member of your family! Cheers!
