When I have even been counting down a wedding, you know it’s going to be a good one! Carlee & Marcus met me at Starbucks to chat about their wedding when it was cold and snowy outside. I remember sitting across from them at the table smiling at them dreaming up this wedding day, and just like that, it was here!
The sky was bright blue and matched the bright and cheery bridesmaids as they arrived in their van full of music and laughter. The girls were all smiles and the energy was so exciting. I wish I could just bottle up that feeling! All weddings have that wonderful happiness that makes each one of them so special. One thing I try to do is make sure brides relax each morning to FEEL that goodness, because there’s only so many times in life that one gets to feel it!
Marcus was nearby, anxiously getting ready to see his bride in her gown for the first time. The beauty of getting ready at the same location allows me and my second shooter plenty of opportunity to capture the anticipation of both the bride & groom. And their first look was so. darn. cute!
The entire day was full of smiles, laughter, and so much happiness from both families. These two have been together so long that everyone had just been waiting for this day to happen, and it was worth the wait! It was an incredible celebration with family and friends! I felt more like family than a photographer–those are the best weddings!
