Montana Fall Wedding–Helena

October 13, 2020

As a wedding photographer, I have realized that I only want one thing for my brides and grooms: Comfort. I want them to to feel so comfortable around me that it releases all of the stress and worry they may have leading up to their wedding. A sense of peace that builds trust and a great relationship that lasts far beyond the wedding day. Comfort that brings brides to want me to be there because I have become a friend not just a vendor.

Above all, one of the best things in my job is to be there at the very beginning (sometimes the night of the engagement), and then I get to see the couple to the very end when the wedding day has passed and the album is delivered to their front door. Not much beats that journey! It is my belief that if a photographer and a couple have a true relationship, that is when magic happens. All of the stiffness or stress melts away, and I can truly capture the emotion in the moment.

Over the past year–and in the thick of a pandemic– Annie and I grew closer and closer over time and I truly felt like I was a good friend showing up on her wedding day–and I just so happened to bring all of my camera gear. When I can show up and be excited to celebrate the union of two people on the best day of their life, I can’t imagine a better job. Annie and Chase, it was my honor to be there to capture you two on your wedding day. I will NEVER forget your wedding and the grace and optimism you showed even though your reception was ruined by a wind storm! You proved to everyone that you can live up to your vows of “come what may” in any circumstance! I pray that you two will have a long and strong marriage as you showed everyone that day! You two can take on the world together! Congrats you two!!

An INCREDIBLE thank you to all of the guests of Annie & Chase’s who helped save their wedding day after the wind storm!! They were so blessed to be surrounded by all of you on their special day!
