Here in Helena, in-home newborn sessions make my heart happy. When it’s snowy outside, we’re snuggling inside. Complete with tiny baby toes and the softest baby hair caressing mama’s cheeks. Newborns give me so much happiness. They bring me back to the tired days of those first weeks when everything was a blur. Hence, why in-home newborn sessions are the best.
First, the weeks after childbirth are intense. Your body has a huge hormone dump, there’s another tiny human that needs your attention and care 100% of the time, and if you have pets or other children, they’re learning the new roles they play with the new addition. It’s a life-changing event for sure.
When Kayla called me to capture sweet Andrew’s first few weeks of life, I was excited to capture it for her. After having three babies of my own, I know all too well that those first few weeks can be the hardest, yet most memorable moments of one’s life.
Thankfully, cameras can capture all those precious moments so that you can remember them years to come when the memories of sleepless nights fade.
Congratulations you guys! Andrew is the sweetest baby! You all have so much to look forward to!
