Some engagement sessions are sweet and romantic downtown… and some have you clinging to the side of a rock face at sunset, laughing with two of the coolest humans you’ve ever met. Brooke & Branton’s shoot? Definitely the second kind.
Brooke grew up rock climbing all over the country thanks to her dad’s military career, and adventure is just in her DNA. When she met Branton, she brought him into her world of ropes, chalk, and summits—and now the guy’s been climbing for five years and totally holds his own on the wall. Talk about couple goals and some incredible trust!
The drive up to our shoot location was so breathtaking I almost drove off the road multiple times—don’t worry, I didn’t—but seriously, the mountains looked like they were straight out of a postcard. By the time we started shooting, the golden light was hitting just right and the views were unreal.
These two took turns climbing, laughing, and cheering each other on, and I had the best time capturing their connection—on the ground and halfway up a cliff ;). I even found myself scrambling up the rock (camera in tow!) to get to the top with them for the final shots. And let me tell you, it was so worth it.
As the sun dipped behind the peaks and the sky turned every shade of peach and lavender, I snapped the last few shots of them on top of the world—literally and figuratively. Brooke & Branton, you two are a power couple with mountain-sized hearts, and I’m so stoked to have been part of this adventure with you. 💍✨
