I woke up early anticipating and preparing for my 3 hour drive to Plains, Montana to capture Marie and Cory’s wedding. I was anxious to get on the road, and I set my alarm for 5 so that I can have my coffee and mental checklist time all to myself. I set all of my equipment out on my kitchen counter a couple of days before each wedding, but with weddings that I have to travel for, I triple check it –or maybe quadruple check it. Disclaimer…my husband once drove over two hours because I forgot my flash…whoops. That won’t happen again! Sorry, love!
Speaking of my husband, he likes to tease me because I drive with my radio off all. the. time. I’m a weirdo. I like silence. Well, I got 3 hours of silence to enjoy on this trip! Some of my most creative ideas come from just sitting alone with no sound. Also, if you’re a mom or a teacher–you understand. Silence is GOLD.
Montana has the most gorgeous scenery. The drive to plains was no exception. Sage brush littered the valleys, with their gorgeous green and sage green stems. Blue, white, and yellow wildflowers painted the hills and valleys as far as you could see. The clouds covered the sky with the occasional sun popping in and out teasing me the whole way.
When I arrived, Marie greeted me at the door with the biggest smile on her face. Talk about a glowing bride! She and Cory had been together for over 8 years, and she was so excited for her wedding day. I also want to add that I don’t think I’ve ever met such a calm and cool bride in my life! She was all about just “rolling with it”. And the neat thing about her day is that it went seamlessly!!
Congratulations Marie & Cory! Here’s to many more days, months, and years together! Your day was PERFECT!
