May weddings. Nothing is more gorgeous than the green grass and blossoming trees, but nothing is more stressful than rainy wedding days! It had been raining for days before this May wedding, and I was anxiously watching my weather app for days before Brittney and Zach’s wedding day. Rain in Helena, Montana is somewhat rare. If it does rain, it never lasts too long, nor is it very heavy. But the days leading up to May 18th were much more dreary than we had seen in years. The good news however, is that the rain ceased and the clouds parted just in time for the bride and groom to steal away to get some amazing pictures that reflected their new life together.
The bride and groom exchanged their vows at the historic Windsor Ballroom in downtown Helena. Surrounded by bustling streets and cherry blossoms, there was a certain calmness and serenity when I arrived. The ceremony hall was dimly lit with soft overcast light spilling in the windows. I found Brittney in a room with a wall of windows from floor to ceiling, also known as a photographer’s heaven. I quickly got to work with her details, as she and Zach got ready in adjoining rooms.
From their first look, to kissing on the streets, their whole day was full of laughter and great memories. Congratulations, Brittney and Zach!! I’m so excited for you guys!!
A big thank you to all of the vendors!
